There's not much better than holding a sleeping baby. Especially one who smells like baby shampoo. Mmmmmm.

This week we haven't really gone anywhere. I was trying not to spend any money, and it's so HOT out there. But my kids have some serious cabin fever. And maybe I do too. We're about 10 days into my 2 week shopping trip - still have groceries left. So it worked, so far! But today, we are chucking caution to the wind and hitting McDonald's. And maybe the library, Toby willing

as I was writing that, Toby fell out of his crib. As in, out of his crib, over the railing, to the FLOOR. Actually, he crashed into his Tonka truck and then the floor. Maybe it's time for a toddler bed. Yikes. He seems okay, you know... really mad and scared, but physically okay. Little boys must have extra angels.

Submit your questions to Ms. Smartypants today through Sunday. One question will be chosen as the subject of Monday's article, probably.

I'm so tired. I don't sleep well at night. I take vitamins & exercise & pray. What advice can you give me?

  3. Dear Ms. Smartypants,

I am thinking of developing some new recipes, what do you think of White Chocolate chili pepper bark?
Chipolte rasberry brownies? or Spicy Ice Cream? Maybe I can market to extreme dessert eaters?

  4. Dear Ms Smartypants,

Why is it that little boys think anything to do with underwear, pottys or the trash can are SO funny?

  5. OUCH! Falling from the crib.

Little boys get the extra angels that little girls don't need.

  9. I would put Tobe in a todd bed ASAP...that way he can beat down his door, your door, and wander into your room several times every night for about two weeks before you cave and put the crib back up. Just ask his cousin's parents...

  14. You could get a crib tent (hooks to the top) to keep Toby in.. I forget how much they are.

Or you could run in there as soon as you hear him wake up..

Or buy tons of pillows & surround the crib, hee hee, na, he might think it's fun.

They are watching and searching for something real....

When I get full of myself, I forget all about their souls and the magnitude of what is at stake.

How can I be in such a hurry to meet my own agendas that I forget.

All my kiddos started school this morning, and I am so looking forward to a couple of weeks from now when I am not at work anymore and can have the house to myself and really clean it! Right now it always just running through trying to at least get the dishes washed. Sometimes I don't go home at all I just go staight to church. We stayed at chuch or my moms all weekend. I was at my house for 30 minutes on friday and didn't get back till about 5:30 yesterday. It is dirty, I need to do laundry, and Matt is at the shop so it is all just sitting there waiting for me.
