I'm supposed to be planning our anniversary date right now. But there's no movies worth seeing.... the Astros are out of state... ugh

Food. And rent a movie. Boring. Boring, boring boring.

What should we do?

The format of Ms. Smartypants' column will be changing this week to include only ONE question. She will choose the question from all those submitted, and will craft a column from her answer. You may submit questions from now until Sunday night, and the chosen question will be showcased Monday "morning".

  1. The Bourne Ulitmatum was a good movie! Have you ever been to the Melting Pot? That is pretty fun and unique. It takes a while I like alot the best part was dessert. They brought this big pot of chocolate and all these things to dip in it. My personal recomendations is to skip the main entree. I know that sounds weird but they give you alot of food, and you have to cook the entree yourself and I got kind of tired of that. But the appetizer was awesome, there salad was so good, and well like I said it was all about the dessert!!!

  3. would we like BU if we haven't seen the other Bourne movies?

  4. no, probably not, but you might enjoy a bourne marathon....that could be fun! =)

but truly.....if you didn't see the other bourne's this one would definitely NOT be nearly as good.

  5. I think you should find a sitter for those precious kiddos & then you & R1 go out for a really nice dinner.

Choose a nice restaurant like Tommy Bahamas (though a bit pricey but worth the atmosphere & worth a special occasion). You can look them up online. They are located in Market Street. Another good place would be PF Changs, Brio Tuscan Grille & perhaps the Grotto. They are all in TW.

Treat yourselves to a nice night out away from those yunguns & splurge!

(You might need to call ahead for reservations.)

  6. Anonymous does have a point.

That would probably be a bit more romantic than the Bourne marathon i suggested. =)

  8. Thank you, Happy.

Romance, romance, romance = time away from little ones.

Mike & Denise would agree with Happy.

  9. Thought this was cute:

HELENA, Mont. -- A Canadian family has more than doubled in size after the successful and very rare births of four identical girls.

The tiny Jepp sisters -- Autumn, Brooke, Calissa and Dahlia -- "are doing grand," their doctor said.

Their births, at a hospital in Great Falls, Mont., were described as a very big medical event. One health official said the chances of a woman giving birth to identical quads is one in 13 million.

The infants were naturally conceived and delivered by Caesarean section.

Their dad said everybody is doing fine. He said it's all thrilling and amazing.

  10. 4 more Canadians... me and Steph are going to have to STEP UP...

    ReplyDelete
  11. Do you really want 4 more at the same time?! Yikes!

Jess, hope you're working on dinner plans!

  12. Is it not possible to leave Ms B with anyone yet? Just wondering.

  13. Get a flight to Seattle, rent a car, and go stay in the mountains for the weekend.

    Don't just watch a movie.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Oh, and you could reply to my email from a couple days ago.

    = )

  15. OK, so the Seattle excursion isn’t realistic. A nice dinner or a fun place would be good. Do you still like Dave & Buster’s?

On second thought going to D&B’s would probably just leave you watching Richy plan video games.

At least go out for a nice dinner.

  16. Hmm... I have to go look at it.
Brynn doesn't like bottles, they stress her out. So we stick pretty close.
And we have to be at church tomorrow night, roo, so that rules Seattle out.

It's looking like food... some kinda restaurant. In fact, I'm hungry now.

  17. Maybe we should go to Hawaii.

    ReplyDelete
  18. what's 4 more kids? Easy.

  19. Don't do something like Cheesecake Factory - way too noisy! Might be upsetting to Ms B.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well, Jess, we all hope that you choose a place to eat that is new for you both. You should try a new experience.

(Also remember that it is tax-free weekend & it might be really busy at restaurants.) Ugh.

  21. Now that's an excellent idea!
Four star hotel - dinner out - maybe some window shopping in the Galleria - ahhhh - a woman's night out!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Ok I just looked at the Galleria, Houston is much less than Austin so you could easily get a room probably around 50-60 bucks. Because the hotels we stayed in, in Austin where $250-$289 a night. Just a suggestion! Hope you find something fun to do!!!!

  23. wow!
i never thought of that. that's a great idea! just book late on friday...cool!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Oh yes! Go to the hotel. Jump on the bed! Have fun!

  28. Dear Ms Smartypants,

We have heard that it was R1 & Jess' anniversary. How does that rich & famous couple celebrate? Do they 'hob-nob' with other celebraties? Also, how is it that they are able to dodge paparazzi so well?

Inquiring Mind that wants to know

  29. They go out undercover.....they pretend to be just local yocals and blend in.....

They keep their sunglasses on even at night.....this seems to help..

They also call each other by different names incase others are listening........

They plan it all out and make a game of it....

    ReplyDelete
  30. Okay....

    Dear Ms Smartapants.......

If you loose your cell phone....and the extra you have needs to be activated.......

    Do you...

    a)do without and rough it?
b)be thankful you have a land line and get over it?
c)take 4 kids to Cingular and activate emergency phone?
d)since you are getting out anyway, take 4 kids and upgrade and get a kool new phone and get them out of the house and do something fun like tour through petco and let the kids enjoy all the animals and maybe grab a bite?

    Hmm?

    ReplyDelete
  31. What to do .....what to do....
