The big news... Bean now has pierced ears! How barbaric, you say. You should just get a Barbie. Ah, whatever. It is just goofy how excited I got after the girl finished piercing and there we were with our Just Got My Ears Pierced bag. It's like a rite of womanhood or something. VERY happy. Bean cried during the sticks, and then stopped immediately afterwards. That was a relief, as I feared the Apocalypse of Emotions.

Also yesterday, checkups for Toby and Bean. Toby is in the 20th percentile, which means he is bigger than 20% of kids his age. So he's little. But the pedi said he's smart for his age. I knew that. But I like to hear it, anyway. And Bean is 15 pounds and nowhere near any kind of chart. Which I knew, too. BUT she can pick up cheerios and give kisses and say mama and point, which makes her not that far behind.... Hooray!

Idol last night, it is as it should be. By the way, this is a good season. I'm lovin it.

The other night, I went out with my new pals to the Melting Pot. It was quite fun. I'm going to miss these friends when I'm in Nashville and Texas. So that makes a total of TWO nights this week I went out of the house, sans children. It was like being a man or something! I greatly enjoyed it but the MOG, he is weary. Not so easy, eh? MUAHAHAHA

  1. Oh yes, my little dumplin' AI is as it should be!! I too am loving it although I was unhappy about the Aussie leaving and thought Ms. Cook should have left sooner. I am having with AI this season!! WHAT A CUTE PICTURE OF THE BEAN!! That pic is printed out and hangin' in my cubicle already!! ha
Glad you are having fun with your friends. Lorri Beth loves the Melting Pot. I, myself have never been.

    Love you!

    Aunt Tammy

  2. That picture is baby beauty contest material.

  3. What a little cutie with those earrngs!! But wait! She is always a little cutie, what am I thinking!! Look forward to you all coming down. I luvvvvvvvv the Melting Pot. We took our "kids". I put it like that cuz they are your age, but they will always be my kids, what can I say.
    luv auntie donna

  4. dont' go to the DMV again!!! that sounded terrible!

i remember going to do errands (grocery shopping, post-office, etc) with 3 babies under 5 years old - and i would end up in tears with the rest of them... sometimes, would just fall apart emotionally and just pile back into the car, without the task being finished....

    you are a brave soul!

  5. i just saw the Church of PHILADELPHIA van on the news on t.v. on channel 11 news - at a "music venue" aka a BAR in downtown HOUSTON! and i put two and two together and realized that my GIRLS are down there cooking grilled cheese sandwiches to share the love of Jesus with anyone who happens to be there!

sometimes I wonder at what they're involved in.... but, must trust God that He will keep them safe...
