Today is my first day on my own with all 3 kids... so far so good. Richy and I constructed a "safe zone" over the weekend which gates the boys from my bedroom, the stairs and the office. So that leaves their room, their bathroom (their fave place to play, go figure), and the playroom area... R2 will stand at the gate and look at me like... "maybe you didn't know... I can't get in there." Toby plays and falls over and cries (repeat, 12 hours a day). Of course, I won't leave them in the zone forever. But when I'm nursing and such... it's nice to not have Toby diving off things onto Brynn. Yes, DIVING. He's crazy.
Anyways. The plan (my plan) was to sleep in this morning. My sons sleep late whenever I can't. But any time I make this plan, God laughs and laughs. Brynn was up all night, pretty much. So, around 5 this morning, I sneak in the boy's bedroom with a bottle, drop it in Toby's bed. I figure he'll wake up around 7, have his bottle and then back to dreamland. And if Toby's not in there shrieking, R2 normally sleeps past 9.
(from heaven: MUAHAHAHA)
Suffice it to say, never mind. Maybe I can sleep during Toby's nap. (MUAHAHAHA)

  4. "safe zone" good idea...

i'm sure the posts will be fewer and fruther between now that you have so many babies needing your attnetion....

just know that you are loved and that we all are interesting in how you are faring....

get those zzz's when you can!

i slept for the first 10 years of my childbearing era.... or more! any time i wasn't required to be awake, i wasn't...

i had 3 kids in 4.5 years! it was a riot! and i don't remember much of it, except the hugs, cuddles, screams and every-so-often "uh ohs"...

especially the time Linds and Hann came to show me what they'd been doing while i was asleep one afternoon.... hann's beautiful long white blonde hair (to her waist) had been lifted up, and Linds took a pair of scissori and whacked a huge section out right in the back and middle of her head... like 14 inches or so of that beautiful hair just whacked right off!!!

i couldn't punish them. they were 5 and 4 years old... and just "occupying" themselves...

    ok

    that's enough for now...

    hugolas...
    and greetings to all!
    katie - you okay?
    love your way!
