It's a snow day... lucky for R2 because I was going to make him go back to school starting today.
On Sunday, I told him he would be going back to school on Monday. He started getting stressed out, and then after a while he came over to me and pointed... now, he doesn't talk much. But he pointed at me and said sternly, "Not going to school. NEVER AGAIN!" Then he shook his finger at me, "NEVER AGAIN!!"
Poor kid. I know he's traumatized from having to go through a seizure at school, but his ultimatum was still pretty funny. So we decided to keep him out another day. I tried to warm him up to the idea of going back all day yesterday, and he was getting less afraid... so I was going to go up with him today for an hour and see how he did. But, lucky for him, it snowed. A lot.

ReplyDeleteLast week Isaac would not stop rough housing i told him, "its late we need to calm down and get ready for bed." Well he kept shooting me with his imaginary spider man web. over and over and running up and jumping on me... so i said, " Isaac NO MORE SPIDER MAN! DO NOT SHOOT MOMMY WITH YOUR WEB AGAIN!" So he crinkled up his eye brows and scowled at me and pointed a fist at me with his arm extended straight out ate me and with the other arm pushed is imaginary LASER BUTTON and shot me with his imaginary buzz light yr. laser as he mouthed the sound effect pshew pshew!
i couldn't help but laugh which is really not a good thing when your in the middle of trying to be consistent in your signals.

ReplyDeleteit's snowing hard in coldspring! amazing!
ReplyDeleteClick here to see snow pics from around the Houston area. Those of us use to snow would call what you got a “dusting,” but very cool and fun for the south Texas folk. Glad you all got to have some snow.
ReplyDeleteFacts from Jess via twitter :
According to data by Houston's Weather Research Center, snow has fallen this early just once — on Dec. 10, 1944 — during the last 113 years.
I take back my "dusting" comment. Some of the pics now posted at that link I gave show over an inch of snow on the ground. Lots of happy kids making snowmen. Good times!
