there will be no zoo video today. i normally am an evangelist of all things Mac, but I won't hesitate to tell you that iMovie is PUNK. There will be a zoo video, after we install the software that is supposed to be for professionals (radiant's copy of Final Cut Pro), because the software that is supposed to be for Joe the Housewife (iMovie) is jacked. So there you go.

in other news, I miss Texas.

I miss
pine trees
people showing up unexpectedly
seeing my friend's babies be born
churching together
babysitters
mexican food
eating with family
talking on the phone and saying i'll be there in a minute
avocados
swagger
striking up a conversation over the produce section
family
seeing someone I know, everywhere
familiarity
Texas shaped stuff
family
easy friendships
dates
community
the camaraderie of being a Texan, among other Texans. Because only we know.
Radiant
family

  3. I agree with Mrs. Diaz, it's been pretty nice...except for the unexpected cold, which isn't ACTUALLY cold unless you're from here.

  6. I miss Texas sometimes also. The people, not the actual state much.

  7. There is nothing like returning to a place that remains unchanged to find the ways in which you yourself have altered.

  14. pal, i was just thinking about how i would just pop in on you when you lived down the street... i wish i could do that now too! when i live in texas, pop in and see me, ok?

i miss texas too. i even miss america. i never knew i liked it so much til i moved away. that makes a big difference... i interact with quite a plethora of internationals here in uganda... people from all over europe, s.africa, australia... i never knew there were so many differences even in culture within the western world. there's nothing like good ol' american pie. and ESPECIALLY nothing like good ol' TEXMEX.

    waaaahhhhhhhhh... i wanna come home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    3 MORE MONTHS.
