If anybody wants to hear Radiant tonight, we'll be 2 hours away at Praise Christian Center... you probably won't be able to hear us. Just kidding. But if you want to make the drive, it sounds like a great event.
Happy Friday! Julie Davis DO IT NOW.

Well, I had a glass of Coke yesterday at 1 and my mind has been
racing ever since. Sheesh. Late 20's is not all it's cracked up to be.
So we have this once a month fellowship and refreshing service at our
place Sunday night at 5. Our target group? College and Career. Now
what the heck does that mean? People go to college forever....
Richy has just said we won't put an age cap on it, as long as you're
out of high school. Pretty fun, I expect. When we did a group like
this before, it was one of my favorites. It's weird, as we get older,
our age range expands. We started doing ministry at 16 and 17 to
junior high-highschoolers. Graduated, got married (almost
simultaneously) and it became junior high-college age-ish. Then it
was "young adults". Then we added 20-somethings. Now we're college
and career, but Radiant really covers all those bases when they
travel. So here I am. 27. A young adult 20 something college and
career age young family gal.... and at least a 40 year old soul.
I miss doing ministry. I was glad to get out of it after I lost the
twins (June 2004) but now I am actually feeling excited about laying
hands on people. Not so much making intense discipleship
relationships.... yet. But just praying for people and blessing them.
So that's already exciting.
Also very exciting - Toby can roll from his stomach to his back now.
I feel like he's won the Pulitzer. I am inordinately proud of this
accomplishment. He just WHIP flips himself over whenever he wants!
Does this mean I have to move him out of the bassinet?? I'm
considering it but if he has to sleep in his crib I will really miss
him. (Sigh)
The MOG woke up before 6:30 yesterday and prayed and so forth... and
he liked it so he planned to do the same today. After 3 snooze
alarms, the alarm clock is now turned off. It was a short streak.

Today, I have been trying to think of a topic... something like if
you could control a natural disaster (no casualties) what would you
do and so forth.
But it just seems lame.
SO, the topic of the day will be chosen by Josh.
And, since I just got here, ladies cannot speak until 1
except to announce their presence.
GALS: they will try to goad you into speaking. Resist, resist.
Have at it, gents.

just had a phone line coup.... here ya go
Last night, I obtained, by faith, the cookies meant for Richard Ramirez. The only condition was that I pray for RR every time I eat a cookie. So, Richard should be feeling very very blessed.
MUAHAHAHAHAHA
Servant IS the cookieman. Pay him Homage.
I have lots of serious thoughts percolating... probably because I'm drinking caffeine again. But today, just sweetness and light. It's all I got.
GO look at the new pictures! http://clarkfamilypix.blogspot.com/

This blog has been handcrafted from the luxurious piney forests of Midway. It is brewed within a alabaster forehead until ripe, then typed with the greatest of care.
Brought to you at the earliest opportunity, this blog has taken precedence over substenance or sanitation. It is crafted and spun through the cries of the very young, and during their repast.
Enjoy it, savor it... one of a kind.

Yield: 12 Servings
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1/3 c refried beans
1/4 ts salt
2 tb chili powder
1/4 c ortega taco sauce
12 soft corn tortillas
3 c cooking oil(crisco prefer'd)
6 sl american cheese
1 head lettuce, chopped fine
Instructions
1) Slowly brown ground beef over low heat, using wooden spoon to chop
and stir meat, keeping it very fine and smooth. 2) When beef is
browned, drain fat. 3) Add refried beans and use wooden spoon to
smash the whole beans into the mixture, creating a smooth texture. 4)
Add the salt, chili powder, and 2 tbs. of the taco sauce to the
mixture. Remove from heat. 5) In another skillet, heat 1/4" of oil
until hot. (Test with small pc. of tortilla--it should bubble when
dropped into the oil.) Crisco oil will give the food a taste closest
to the original. 6) Spread 1/12 th of beef mixture on center of each
tortilla. 7) Fold tortillas over and press so that the beef filling
acts as an adhesive and holds sides together. 8) Drop each taco into
the pan of hot oil and fry on both sides until crispy. 9) When
cooked, remove the tacos from the oil and place them on a rack or
some paper towels until they are a little cooler. 10) Pry open each
taco slightly. Add 1/2 slice of american cheese (cut diagonally) and
some lettuce. Top with abt. 1 1/2 tsp. of remaining taco sauce.
Yield: Makes 12 Tacos
Older than McDonald's and Burger King, Jack-in-the-Box, is the
world's 5th largest hamburger chain, with 1,089 outlets (by the end
of 1991) in 13 states throughout the West and Southwest. The
restaurant, headquartered in San Diego, boasts one of the largest
menus in the fast-food world--a whopping
45 items.
Now taste for yourself the homemade version of Jack's most
popular item. The Jack-in-the-Box Taco has been served since the
inception of the chain, with very few changes over the years.

16 Blocks.... had a lot of men running and shooting out windows, and crashing cars into stuff. My beautiful vision impaired child liked all the gunshots. He laughed and laughed.
Mostly, people got shot in the hands or knees, took a lickin and kept on tickin. But there was some blood, which I viewed through my fingers as I am a fraidy cat. There was also some cursing... it may be time to quit taking R2 to the movies with us, although he hasn't repeated any of it.
I also had my usual fare of popcorn with M&M's in it. DON'T knock if you haven't tried it. It is a buttery salty crunchy sweet melty chocolate delight.
Toby ate through the entire movie on and off and then fell sound asleep during the credits.

Let's all give her a round of applause.
(sound of clapping)
Happy Birthday, Eva! Don't go out with Terri and get wasted!
Ah, trash day. And maybe I will take Toby and go to town day...

If you guys were in charge of housework, what improvements would you make? Like a ride-on vacuum cleaner and such...
Ladies: you know the rules.
Also, so far the weeknight is winning for our Jack In The Box party. If you haven't voted yet, do so!

And now I'm here. And things are pretty good. I miss my twins horribly, but Toby has been very healing.
So what now? I've been in the "carried" part of Footprints for so long that I don't really know what to do.
On another note: I have recieved my 20 dollar Peterson challenge money... in a Jack Cash card. (thanks!)
My plan is to invite all you bloggers and lurkers out to JITB and buy $20 worth of tacos.... Just a good ol Yablonski jamboree. But I want as many bloggers as possible to come... even though there won't be enough tacos. So that's gonna take a little planning.

Yesterday Toby and I went to the doctor to try to deal with a little
leftover thrush and his cough. When I read the name of the doctor, I
knew he was Chinese. (DISCLAIMER: I think it is amazing and great that
people are bilingual. Even one who speaks a second language badly
speaks more languages than me.)
My first great joy was filling out all Toby's paperwork. It had some
great questions, like:
" How many times you are pregnant"
" How long are you in labor"
And a little greeting like "Dear Parents with appreciation for filling
this out."
I was smiling all the way through. My dad and I loved this kind of
stuff. Once he bought an airplane toy with all the bonuses barely
translated on the box. Let me see if I can remember.... "She are flying
with great speed!" and so forth.
Then we actually went in... I wish you could have all been there. "Miss
Crark?" they called.
"Oh, he are preemie baby."
and some really great almost indecipherable questions ... how much
coughing, how much snot.... I can't even remember how it was phrased,
but I was grinning the whole time.
He was a sweet little old guy... I liked him a lot. So we got our
prescriptions and made an appointment for 2 months if everything are
okay.
NOTE: some updates on the countdown tickers page.

Today I thought maybe the guys could tell us - if they were superheroes
or supervillains, what powers would they have?
Ladies, remember, zip it till noon.

Last night was pretty fun with some Radiants and some pals recording backup vocals to All Of My Days in the studio... it ended up sounding beautiful. Also a very enthusiastic version of the Cheeseburger song from Veggie Tales was recorded.
If it's ever released, it will probably go platinum.
It's cool having our own studio... we can really work on things without the 50 bucks an hour hanging over our heads.
Also had lunch with the very fun Rob and Steph.... and family. We think Toby looks like Graceson and Izzy... and R2, of course.
Today: the grocery store. Or maybe just Dollar General.
I do live the exciting life.

Yesh, thatsh correct.
Craig is the name choice..... good name.
Craig Peterson, a lawyer or a pro baseball player, I'd say.
Welp, this is the weekend blog. If it fills up, Ill write another.
Otherwise, she'll have to do.

Challenge:
Jessica didn’t ask me about this, but if you can guess at least the first name, you really will get a gift certificate $20 at the restaurant of you choice.
Good luck
1) You can have 7 guesses, so don’t use them all at once.
2) You can guess up till Mid-night.
3) If you’re lucky, I may give some hints to narrow down, but not really help.
the first initial is one of these letters:
C, D,L, R, X, Y
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Maybe today we should re-open the dialogue: what should Josh and Shannon name their baby?
It's a boy and the winner gets a steak dinner purchased by Josh.

ahhh, the joy of normalcy. Today is Thursday, known in these parts as
"Trash Day". Not for any urban hip hop reason like today we talk smack.
Oh, no.
No, it is literally la dia de el hombres de basura.
When we moved out here to God Knows Where, Texas, I was greatly
impressed by the fact that we could burn our trash.
a) fire is cool
b) sometimes things explode
c) no keeping stinking trash around for the dogs to strew so the
neighbors can say... looks like somebody's in big time debt.
So, I was pleased and on occasion stood and watched how diapers melt
and so forth.
Then, some other residents of Radiantville, (heretofore known as the
Juans, and R1) decided we should join the revolution and pay for trash
service. I disagreed but Paul said, and I quote, "If you want to burn
all the trash and wait until the fire goes out and clean it up..."
something like that.
So now the trash guys come every Thursday and there's hardly any fire
around here at all.

howdy folkies
very amusing, my sister... and the PSAs.... bringing much mirth.
I am sitting at Panera for a minute, trying not to eavesdrop on a
troubled marriage...

R2 is watching Barney. Children love Barney. And Teletubbies.
Large colorful fictional characters that break into song at any given
time.
Actually, Barney doesn't bother me as much as the kids who sing with
him. These strange very clean robot children with matching clothes and
perfect hair.
And they all know the songs and dance in perfect synchronization.
I wonder if little kids ever think their lives are so boring. No
dinosaurs, no dancing groups of friends....

It's so much easier to be sick in the daytime.
What is it about laundry? You run out of detergent for a day or two. No big deal, you think. I'll buy some tomorrow.
In the meantime, the laundry Exodus occurs. Every item of clothing, towel, and sheet makes its way to the laundry room.
You are casually thinking, man, I will be glad when I can wash some socks.
The day comes when the detergent is here and you must face your destiny.
And laundry is stacked to the ceiling.
Every item containing fabric is in there.
If I had detergent, and just didn't wash clothes for 3 days, this wouldn't happen. It is only when I am incapacitated that all heck breaks loose and everybody throws up and pees and wipes peanut butter hands on their shirts and such.
So the plan for the day... wash some big stuff like blankets so at least it looks better in there.

Oh boy... today some Radiants are coming over to paint the studio and
do musical things. I love my Radiants.
And Daniel's grilling some burgers. This is the first barbecue grill we
have ever owned, and what a marvelous invention it is. WHY does food
taste so good grilled?
Very interesting spontaneous rhyming day yesterday. Let's never do that
again.

YABLONSKIS: (in this case, not those of like mind, but those who come to Christmas)
Sorry for the late notice but Rhonda says we're the closest drive (when is that ever the case??) and so anyone who wants to see them should meet here. They are coming at noon. Call if you have questions.
Guys day, in my opinion, was quite successful. Hopefully no small fry will get ideas from the very creative explosive techniques.
I personally would like to explode an apple. But, noooooo.... I have to clean my room.
over and out

However, I know some guys would find it an amusing diversion to "control" the conversation for a few hours a week.
And I find it an amusing diversion as well.
So grin and bear it, my undercover feminist female friends... and grin about it, darnit!
Okay here's the deal...
From now until noon, this blog will be for menfolk. Women are welcome to browse, and to announce their presence. Briefly.
If a manfolk directly speaks to you, you may respond.
CHANGE: No quota today... we'll try it out.
At noon, women are permitted to speak freely again, although they should limit themselves to guy-directed topics.
